Excellent, intense flavour. I coated pieces of chicken thigh in the ras-el-hanout, fried them with some garlic and onion, added a can of chickpeas and simmered everything for about 20 mins. It was very good with flat bread and a dollop of yoghurt, and even better the next day.
This one is our absolute favourite. Perfect blend of flavours - quite subtle but also intense.
Still a family favourite. I always have one in the pantry.
I hosted a morning tea for 11 women and the Persian Love Cake was a huge hit. It was the first time I had made it and it was simply delicious, so moist and beautifully fragrant. Such a beautiful aroma in the kitchen too while it was baking. I made it last night as directed for optimal flavour, then decorated it this morning. I already had the dried rosebuds to adorn the top of the cake.
So far I’ve only used the Turkish meatballs meal base but I can say that it was delicious and easy to make. Definitely recommend.
I make a vego version of the Persian Herb Stew with haloumi and red kidney beans, and serve it with pearl couscous. Addictively good :-)

I purchased the Love cake as an appropriate gift for my sister and brother-in-law’s 50th Wedding Anniversary. They were thrilled with the gift and said the cake was delicious.
We love this recipe and buy the pack regularly for special occasions or just make cupcakes for school lunches.

I’ve bought and made Exotic Bazaar’s Persian Love cake several times now - both original and gluten free. I add lemon juice to the icing but that’s my only addition. There are always compliments from both adults and children and barely a crumb is left. Can’t ask for more than that!
I have loved my experice so much with Exotic Bazaar that I recently purched a Base Collection for a friend for their bithday, knowing they would enjoy the flavours and the quick 30 minute cooking time, and the feedback I recieved was "you know me so well!!"
I am about to place another order for myself as I have smashed through the flavour bases and need a restock.
